The Toddler may already know her place as the “cute little girl” and maybe is already stamped with the sweet, diminished status that is applied to children and especially girls.  It will require heroism for her spirit to remain strong in a culture that does not expect and nourish a spirited, out-of-the-box girl toddler.  Can she make it through the many hurdles ahead of her?
